With Eden Reforestation Projects
we plant mangrove trees
BizAway is extremely proud of its partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, a non-profit organisation actively fighting poverty and pollution by creating new mangrove plantations in large areas devastated by deforestation in Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Indonesia, Mozambique and Kenya.
This plant is able to absorb over 308 kg of CO2 during its lifetime, 2 to 4 times more than other tropical species.
The local communities involved in the cultivation and management of the plantations also benefit from the initiative. In this way, the local resident are finally able to earn a fair and stable income to support themselves and their families, and have access to proper education and medical care.

A few cents to offset business travel emissions
BizAway is the first platform to have integrated an automatic CO2 compensation system, using a calculator developed in collaboration with the Lufthansa Innovation Hub (LIH) to quantify emissions from business travel.
During the booking process, will be indicated the amount of carbon dioxide produced. In addition, advanced calculation algorithms also indicate the monetary compensation needed to offset the pollution produced. For every €0.10 donated, Eden Reforestation Projects will plant a mangrove.
