On 19 January, we celebrated BizAway’s sixth birthday with a special gift: all employees became stockholders by holding a 1% stake in the share capital.

Although 2020 was an extremely difficult year for the travel industry, thanks to the commitment of our team we were able to withstand the backlash. “The decision to let all our employees hold a part of the company’s capital allows them to take part in the growth of the company’s value, to which they contribute every day,” says Luca Carlucci, co-founder and CEO of BizAway. “It was a way, on the one hand, to thank them for the wonderful work they have done over the years and, on the other, to increase the sense of belonging to this great family,” adds co-founder and CTO Flavio Del Bianco.

The employees also welcomed this surprise with great enthusiasm:

“The secret is to always do your job well and never stop. I have always felt part of BizAway and, with this gesture, the founders have shown us that ours is not just a job, but a path to be built with trust and responsibility together with the whole company” says Georgeta Pojoga, backend developer.

“It has been a difficult year, but with everyone’s help we have managed to cope with the crisis. The company didn’t have to make any redundancies and, on the contrary, the team grew in 2020, hiring new staff. And now we have received this great recognition, for which I am very grateful” says Simone Oltremari, head of operations.
